{falling for fall}

Okay, I have to start out with a little confession, fall is not exactly my favorite season. Here in Vancouver fall means rain about 90% of the time, and for a girl with naturally-curly-painstakingly-straightened hair, this is not a good thing! But still, there is something fabulous about those rare, clear and crisp autumn days. Fall conjures up images of so many wonderful things ...

Like cozy trench coats and cashmere scarves on an afternoon walk, leaves crunching underfoot:

Endless cups of chai tea and long nights spent by the fireside:

Wonderfully warm shades of orange, Hermes orange to be exact!

Being draped in a warm throw, surrounded by plush faux-fur pillows:

And rubber boots lined up at the front door, waiting for an evening stroll:

1- Mirror, Home Elements 2- Blanket, Hermes 3- Faux fur pillows, Dennis Basso 4- Box, Hermes 5-Leather pouf, Serena & Lily 6-Fur throw, Kathleen Rogers Design 7- Boots, ShoeSeen

All of these elements make fall magical! What are some of your favorite associations with autumn?

I'm with you... I've never been much of a fall person either. It just seems like counting down the days till winter! But, this year I seemed to have embraced it - maybe it's because of such inspiring images like these!

A cozy warm fireplace to come home to after walking in the fall rain is the best feeling.

Great finds!

Absolutely faux fur and boots. We are just leaving fall behind here and above all else I loved my faux fur throw for almost every home occasion. X K

I have trouble getting into fall because I'm so bummed out that summer is over. But once the leaves hit their peak, I can't NOT love fall with all the beautiful colours :-) It's hard to beat the beauty of bright yellow, orange, and red maple trees against a bright blue sky :-)

Sigh - wish the boots at our house would stay so nicely lined up :)

I'll take the faux fur and boots as well. I hear you about the hair - but the last few days haven't been too bad. But we know what is ahead of us - rain :(

I love Fall so it's not hard for me to find things I associate with fall! Fires, red, orange & yellow leaves, crisp clean air, cosy sweaters, hot cocoa, etc.... Oh I'm loving those faux fur throws! The perfect thing to cosy up with by the fire on a cool fall day!

Lovely, lovely post! I really enjoy these images -- all of the orange and warmth is too beautiful not to love. Don't you adore Autumn? I always look forward to cozy sweaters, my knitted pieces thank you to my Grandma, boots, hot drinks and leaves...

Hope you have a fabulous weekend,

xoxo

I feel like I'm the only person in the world who enjoy rainy days haha =) (and it's raining right now, yayy!) The big cozy coats, the colorful scarves, snuggling up on the sofa with a warm throw.. I love fall!! And your fall mood board is amazing, except I'd trade the real fur blanket for a faux one ;)
