I love the idea of adding sparkle in unexpected places; I hung strands of crystals from the sconce by the front door, a subtle but pretty touch!
Have you begun dressing your home for the holidays? I'm guessing now that Thanksgiving is done, there will be some serious decking of the halls :) Well it's pretty chilly here in Vancouver, so needless to say it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! If you are visiting from the blog parties over at Southern Hospitality and Hooked on Houses, welcome and thank you for popping by!! Be sure to pop by the party at Southern Hospitality and at Hooked on Houses and check out other beautiful vignette's from so many talented bloggers :)

Oooo it sounds super cold over there in Vancouver! Wrap up warm!
P.S. Love the gold pear!
The gold pear is a wonderful touch. All looking very elegant!
I have just tagged you for some revelations. No pressure. Have a great sparkly day. Kristie
Your foyer looks so great! Adore that sweet golden pear so much...great job all around Nancy!
This is gorgeous! I love the bust of my namesake!
Looks GREAT! A little glitter really adds a glamorous touch!
I love that your holiday entry is subtle, not in-you-face Christmas styling. Really beautiful, I can see why you love coming home to it.
Love it Nancy! I'm sure it makes you smile every time you walk in.
Love! I especially adore the little gold pear and your bust- really want one for my own home. I'm holding off of the yuletide decor blitz until December- just can't bring myself to do it yet.
It's beautiful and decadent! I love it! We put up our tree and that's probably all I'll do. Too busy this time of year!
Nancy, I love your entry hall, It is so YOU!! I am with you, love a bit of sparkle. When perusing blogland a while back I saw a blog named, Sparkle is my favorite color. It is now my new favorite saying, Have a great day and a wonderful Holiday, Kathysue
Very nice Nancy!
Aww that's so pretty! I love sparkles :) (must be a girl thing!)
I've begun collecting ornaments and decors... still waiting to get my tree!! So excited!
Once again - so Nancy, all sparkly and beautiful! Lovely! I love the bust - where did you get it? I want a bust for the top of the piano! As for decorating my house - yikes I better get a move on, except I will wait until next week.
I like the title of the book on your table too :)
oh yes, that's a gorgeous entry. my fave colors black, white silver. you captured the elegance of the season with a simple festive style. I LOVE it! xxoo
Nancy, great job I love it, it is so gorgeous.
Well done.
Margo
Looks great Nancy! It makes me want to start decorating my own entry. I have been preoccupied with a new puppy so needless to say I haven't found the time yet!
Your hallway looks wonderful decked out for Christmas! I love the sparkle and the black feathers on the white tree. So chic! I haven't started the Christmas decorating at all yet, but December 1st I will! (hubs thinks I'm weird, his family decorates the tree like Dec. 23rd or something, which I think is really weird haha)
Beautiful! I love your mirror - and also love the wreath that's reflected in it :-) Oh, have you thought of hanging your wreath ON your mirror? It's such a cool look, and would up the glam factor, I think :-)

Gorgeous Nancy! Very glamourous!
what a gorgeous vignette! I haven't started decorating yet but will likely start this weekend. I usually start with the mantel and work my way around. Our temperature is dropping here today so we're likely getting what you've had - definitely will be feeling a lot like Christmas! :)
Good job! Love the pear!!! You are on top of it ... I am just working on Thanksgiving ha ha!
Absolutely lovely! And that mirror is stunning!
I love this! Totally sophisticated and glam yet still festive.
