{3 fall trends: via style at home}

I love the changing of seasons, and fall always brings the promise of new adventures, of cozy cable knit throws, chai tea and warm evenings by the fireside. Style at Home has rounded up the top 3 trends for Fall 2011 and in my humble opinion they were bang on! We are definitely seeing several trends carry on from early this year {for example, Rustic Glam ... see my top 5 trend predictions here}. You can learn more about the trends listed below at styleathome.com.

Whether its sprawling herringbone floors or a simple table vase or tray, the tones and organic textures of wood are guaranteed to warm up any space!

Bring in warmth with neutrals that have warm rather than cool undertones. Gone are the cold flat greys! Taupe, sage, and lilac will bring velvety softness to your walls. This is good news for me, as my favorite warm grey is Benjamin Moore's Revere Pewter, I've used it throughout my home and quite literally still receive at least one email a week inquiring about this color!

I'm loving this look! The eclectic, bold, well-traveled vibe is tres chic. This calls for mixing patterns, natural materials, and exotic fabrics. It can be anything from a small suggestion through a Suzani throw or Cameroon juju hat, to full out ceiling to floor persian rugs and rich woods.

Are there any of these trends you'll be using in your home this fall? I think I'll definitely be adding some natural wood accessories to mine!

Happy Monday to you all!!

Checking your earlier trend predictions, I'd say so were spot-on, Nancy!
I've been searching for a tree stump that I can finish and use as an accent table (because I just won't pay retail for a tree stump!), but, they're a lot harder to find than I thought!

The first pic and the pic with the orange couch are so cozy! I love fall! The lion’s head door knocker is so cool and I'm loving the entryway also. I think I’m going to have to have a chai tea today. :)

I saw this and I thought just like you, probably the wood but the others will not work in my home at all. Fun keeping informed about what is current!! xo Kathysue

I've always loved touches of wood in the home, whether it's flooring, exposed beams, shelving.

Loved this Trends! I'm so using the "well travelled" trend, now that I'm returning to Argentina and I'll take a lot of Mexican crafts with me :P So excited about the idea of redocoring my home there after almost two years living abroad! Thanks for this post! By the way, I needed to share this link with you http://www.79ideas.org/2011/07/ultimate-summer-post-15-e-magazines.html
New online magazines and a super nice Decó blog from Czech Republic. I know you'll love it! Have a great week and kisses for you and your furry baby! XoXo Maca

I definitely will be adding some wood pieces to my home this winter. I also love Revere Pewter, I specified this colour for my brother's home and he is loving it, as are all his guests. I'm trying to figure out where I can use it in my home now.
Glad to hear that your cute little pup is doing better, and thanks for commenting on my blog today!

Love all three trends, especially the wood and the lilac paint colours :-)

{I ordered the polygon from Chapters. I already had a book in my cart, and the polygon put it over the $25 free shipping mark :-) Thanks for the inspiration!}
