{a tribute ...}

Hello my lovely friends, sorry for disappearing the last few days. It's been a tough week as we had to say goodbye to my beloved dog of almost 13 years on Tuesday {I've blogged about him hereherehere, and here}. As much as I am so thankful he is no longer suffering, I honestly couldn't believe how hard it was to say goodbye. He was such a joyful and wonderful part of my life, and things are feeling quite empty around my home right now. I can't even bare to post his picture in this post as it would be tough to look at constantly :(  I'd like to have a cameo made of a pomeranian sillhouette to include somewhere in my home in honor of him.

Sweet little Muffler, thank you for all the joy you brought us and everything you taught us. I know you are in heaven as you were an angel even here on earth. I miss you and will always love you!

Thank you everyone for your understanding and support. Thank you so much to so many of you who have been sending me such thoughtful tweets, FB messages, texts & emails, you have no idea how much it means to me! We've even had a friend make a donation to the SPCA in Muff's name, how incredible is that! I'll be back to "regular programming" on Monday :) Hope you have a wonderful weekend,

So sorry for your loss Nancy! It really is so hard to say good-bye to our furry family members! Thinking of you! xx

My heart goes out to you! We absolutely count our pets as members of the family and I know how painful it is to say good-bye, even when you know it's the right thing to do. Think of you and sending virtual hugs your way :(

I'm so sorry about your sweet dog, Nancy. Losing a pet is just awful. Muffler was lucky to have had 13 years with a loving family, though! Hang in there.

Nancy, I am so sorry to hear that. As you know, we are dog lovers and we completely understand your pain. I can't even begin to think what that will be like to go through. Thinking of you.

Nancy,

From someone who has a dog, I understand the heartbreak. I had to give up mu first dog named Chance. So hurtful. They are friends. They are family. To lose them is like losing a part of you.

My heart is here...for everyone who knew and loved him.

This is a very difficult time right now and I think the silhouette is a wonderful idea.

I lost my 9 year-old Tina(Malti-Poo) to cancer in March of this year. Most days, now, I can smile a little when I think of her.

God Bless, Jan

I found this poem that pretty much sums up dogs...

LOYALTY

You can't buy loyalty, they say
I bought it though, the other day.
You can't buy friendships, tried and true
Well just the same, I bought that too.
I made my bid and on the spot
Brought love and faith and a whole job lot
Of happiness, so all in all
The purchase price was pretty small
I bought a single trusting heart,
that gave devotion from the start
If you think these things are not for sale
Buy a brown-eyed puppy with a wagging tail.

You and Muff are in my thoughts.... and Jackson & Squirt send lots of nuzzles to you.

Hang in there, Nancy. It is such a tough thing to go through but we sure wouldn't trade those good times for the world :)

I am so sorry. We have all lost pets and it is never easy but you wrote a beautiful tribute and I hope your memories of your beloved friend provide comfort over the weekend.

after the loss of our dog we waited several months and just recently rescued a dog. You can read about that on our blog. She has really helped us heal.

I am so sorry to hear this. Honestly when it happened to me, I was heartbroken and could not leave the house for 2 days. Within 3 weeks, I had rescued not one, but 2 dogs. I could not stand coming home to an empty house. I sincerely hope you are feeling better soon.

So so sorry for your loss :( I have a pomeranian that looks just like yours and I'd be just as sad. But you're right, it's better to have had him then to have never had him at all!
