{me in the next few weeks ...}

First off, happy end of the work week friends! I wanted to let you all know that I'll be working towards a pretty scary deadline in the next 3 weeks ... I'm writing my thesis and the due date is making my stomach turn :(

But not to worry, I will still be posting regularly here, blogging is my stress relief and I don't think I could live without it! However, I'll probably become WAY behind on emails etc {which is crummy cause that was one of my resolutions}, and I'll be pretty MIA on the comment-front on all my favorite blogs. Another resolution broken! I've been wanting to be better at commenting back to those who take the time to comment here {I so appreciate you!}, and I ALWAYS try to comment on any blog I read. I feel like it is important to let those bloggers know that I appreciate the time they take in putting together a post, and I'm kinda against "free-grazing" - if I enjoyed the content it's only fair to leave a comment. I'm by no means perfect, but I try my best. But I'm going to have to majorly break the rules I have for myself, just for a while - please forgive me!

I'll be reading and writing, studying, and writing some more. And while I wish I could tell you that I'll be looking this glamorous while doing it:

In actuality I will look something like this, but with messier stacks of books and papers flying in the air around me:

So please pray for me as I plough through! And speaking of papers flying about, did you catch this fab DIY secret storage box on Design Sponge? I think I need this in my life:

Love it! To see the full how-to go here. I'll see you back here on Monday, and don't forget to enter to win one of TWO frames from Poppy Tree Frames! Contest closes Tuesday January 24th.

I would like to wish you, first of all, the greatest year, since so many of your dreams are about to come true and I truly wish you the best, eventhough I do not know you in person; but I guess that when a person decides to share a bit of her life for years with total strangers, and those on the other side decide to follow those flashes willingly, effortlessly and eagerly we kind of become friends. I´m from Portugal, I do not post very often but I follow your blog daily, anticipating with excitment what the news are going to be this time, never disappointing and always revigorated and inspired. Secondly I’d like to thank you for letting a door open for us, so that we could appreciate through time the way you’ve evolved into someone so inspiring, so creative, so meticulous, so spontaneous, but above all, so genuinely true to yourself. Thank you, for I have also grown with you. I’ll keep on coming here, visiting you, hoping that if you come to my country one day, I’ll have the pleasure of welcoming you personally, opening then the doors of my house to you and hoping that you’ll feel at ease, just like I do, everytime I come to your blog. Cheers to you doll! Keep on being very Happy! and i hope that one day you may have time to visit my blog - it would be an honor!

Good luck with all of that! yikes! And don't worry about looking chic - my guy loves me best in sweats and no makeup! Not what I consider chic but heck, who am I to argue?

You'll do great! Just remember that you can do everything, you just don't have to do it all at once! Take some time for yourself along the way. The pics are amazing- Really, you don't look like that when you study/write? I'm surprised! The DIY project is definitely something that's getting added to my idea folder. Have a great weekend!

You are not 'breaking' any resolutions in my opinion, but rather knowing where your priorities 'must' be right now. a thesis is no small feat and can't be taken lightly... we'll be here celebrating your return!

Good luck, Nancy. You'll rock this undertaking, too!

Good luck Nancy! You're right about free-grazing, sadly I have been committing this offense for years. I need to be more outwardly appreciative of all the wonderful bloggers out there and I'm starting here. Thanks for you wonderful inspirational posts! Your blog is amazing!
