{lusting: pavers in the backyard}

I LOVE the look of pavers with either grass or moss between them, don't you? I'm starting to think about the outdoors more & more as we are almost into summer, and whenever I come across a space with these lovely pavers I swoon! On my dream house list for sure ...

Here on the West Coast (often dubbed the 'WET' Coast), I think moss would actually do very well between pavers and be nearly maintenance free. I came across a recipe for planting moss between pavers here, I'm definitely going to bookmark it for the future!

Those photos are lovely. I like the look of moss between paving stones too, it makes it looks far more mystical, like you're walking through the secret gardens!

Love this look, we put pavers in last summer and they are great, so easy to maintain, beautiful pictures.

I love this! Right now, our back yard is 1/4 pavers and they look terrible... We've talked about ripping them all up and laying down brick instead, but that's such a huge job. Not that rearranging them to allow for space in between and planting grass would be a big job, but at least it would be a lot less expensive and result in far fewer pavers ending up in a landfill!

Love pavers - such a great way to mix modern and natural. Thanks for these great inspirations.

Love this look, especially if they're not a pain to maintain.

Love that look! Something I wanted to do in our home back in Toronto, but we never got around to landscaping the yard before we left. We planned on doing it this summer... but then the big move happened! ;)

We have some flagstone around the house and I really want to get some cool moss growing in and around it. They are in the shade so I would probably have to find some moss that grows in the shade ......... I'm sure there are some varieties??

Gosh perfect timing! I am looking at doing something like this at my new studio. How hard are they to maintain? I have a brown thumb!! Leslie

My parents had this going on in their backyard and to be very honest, even though it looks really good...its really difficult to maintain...cutting the grass between the concrete step is a serious hassle....even though it looks really nice (which i totally agree), the maintenance part is hell !
