{trendspotting: elephants ...}

Happy new week everyone! We're already mid-way through this month and I can't believe it ... I had a relaxing weekend and managed to fit in some shopping at the newly opened West Elm here in Vancouver, any one else been yet? And of course a quick stop into Anthropologie & J. Crew never hurts, right? :)

While at West Elm, I got the chance to see the playful Shirley Fintz elephant table lamp, and it got me thinking how frequently I'm seeing elephants everywhere!

I love that they say elephants have excellent memory, which even surpasses that of human beings! These pieces are whimsical yet classical additions to the home & wardrobe, and are sure to leave a lasting impression as well.

Love them. My husband and I were watching a documentary on them a while back, and they said that elephants are the only mammals (other than humans of course) that mourn the loss of a loved one. Such sweet creatures.

I agree! Elephants are such gentle animals. They are beautiful as decor pieces at home. I had a great experience with connecting and learning about elephants in Thailand. Best trip/experience ever :)

I'm digging the ginormous elephant artwork. A little irony there.

Safari trend approaching? I hope so! I'd love to see animal prints everywhere! Though I'm more fond of giraffes (and leopards of course), I can't deny elephants are cuuute. And according to Hindu tradition with its God Ganesh, they also attract good luck. Time to make room for some elephant love at home. Have a lovely week! Xo
