{trendspotting: malachite fabrics}

Ever since spotting the malachite curtains in Sally Wheat's recent project above, I've noticed malachite-inspired fabrics everywhere! I'm loving the deep jewel-tone these fabrics bring to a room.

Did you know that the mineral malachite is actually a copper hydroxyl carbonate that crystalizes to create that rich green color? It’s been used throughout history for decorative objects, and often runs a pretty penny. So faux malachite brought in with fabrics is a great way to get the look!

The fabric above can be found at Spoonflower, and at only $18/yd it's a steal! I could really see a few chic pillows adding a fab touch to a room.

I got that book and posted about it on Monday, how fab is that front cover? Green is exciting me so much just now - simple things!

Wow! I literally gasped at that first image!! Love malachite!
I'd seen the chair and Amanda Nisbet book before but - my goodness - those curtains are divine!
Thanks for sharing the fabric source. I'll be making something soon and linking back to your awesome blog...

I really like your article. Thank you so much for your sharing with us. They are very useful to us in our reality world. I want you can share more things with us. I also want to share something about pearl gift. In my eyes, they are the most charming beauty to make people more elegant, such as fresh water pearl earrings and pearl necklace pendant and so on. I wish more people will love it.

I'm in love with it too! Muse fashion has some great bracelets that I'm still thinking about in this as well. Fun!

It's such a great colour and the movement is awesome. There are so many great DIY projects around on how to recreate these patterns and colour on paper. Ive been meaning to try one to get the look too!

I think I need a tutorial on how to pronounce malachite - I'm surely saying it wrong.
