{puttin' on the christmas ritz}

Happy Sunday, hope you are enjoying your weekend so far! I have no complaints - my house is now totally decked out with Christmas decor, and I'm off to get a massage at the spa this afternoon. Kinda can't get any better.

So last week we looked at a beautiful example of understated holiday decor, and today I've got a fine example of the other end of the spectrum: over-the-top holiday glamour! This Toronto-rowhouse belonging to Sarah Ferguson and decorated by Feasby & Bleeks Design, boasts a gorgeous bold palette {all images via Style at Home}:

Loving it? Me too! So if you had to choose, would you choose understated or over-the-top? I kinda think I'm somewhere smack in the middle!

Hi there... I am a little on the fence with this one. As I am just as Christmas "crazy" as you are, I am holding my decorating horses, trying to hold out to December, trying.... as for your holiday features, I like the understated on the best, way more my style. this purple one is way to much "stuff" for me and my lifestyle :)

This is just stunning!! But a little over the top for me. I'm more on the traditional side. Thanks for sharing.

I love the over the top holiday decorating. It is all so fleeting. I loved the dining room in this house. Beautiful wallpaper!

I love using magenta at the holidays instead of red. You show marvelous examples of that color.

Oh my my my my ....... I've never been a big fan of purple but this has made my heart skip a beat. Gosh, I was just starting to get into liking lime green for a new Christmas color but now, gulp, it's purple. I can't stop staring.

Over-the-top baby! If any time of the year, Christmas is my number one choice to go all out over-the-top!
