{currently coveting: umbrella stands}

Why do I not already own an umbrella stand? I live in Vancouver. For those of you across the globe from me - Vancouver rains. About 80% of our year is RAIN! Needless to say, I feel a little silly that I'm only now contemplating purchasing a stand! Here are a few lovely options at different price-points:

Lattice Umbrella Stand, Overstock, $108.00 | Blue and White Umbrella Stand, Overstock, $88.00 | Fornasetti Umbrella Stand, Farfetch, $993.59 | Moore Umbrella Stand, Ralph Lauren Home, $595.00 | Cane Umbrella Stand, The Well Appointed House, $178.00 | Crisscross Umbrella Stand, The Well Appointed House, $198.00 | Lacquer Umbrella Stand, Jonathan Adler, $295.00 | Zebra Umbrella Stand, Ballard Designs, $129.00

Ok, so I've come to the decision in my searching that I want to stick with blue and white. Classic & chic, right? There are 2 different patterns at a similar price that I just can't seem to choose between. They are very similar, they even have the same pattern around the top and bottom rim! Which would you choose?

The one with a bit of Chinoiserie flair or the classic floral pattern? I'm loving them equally, so if you could give me your vote I'll be ready to order away :) Thanks for your help!

I love the one on the right. I have been on the lookout for one too. Where did you track these down? I am mad at myself, about a year ago Homesense had a few, I even had it in my cart and changed my mind! Argh. It was only $39!

I think the chinoiserie flair one is a bit more modern so I'd go with that one but they both look great :)

love the chinoiserie version

Normally I'd be drawn to the floral, but there's something about the Chinoiserie that I'm just loving - that gets my vote. I was determined to find an umbrella stand awhile back (we get a lot of rain in Halifax, too). Thanks for sharing these options!

Nancy,

Both umbrella stands are beautiful but I'm loving the classic floral pattern the most! Please let us know which one you decide on.

All of those are fabulous! We have a lot of Chinese Import Pottery...I am rather partial to the floral. I have had some of my pieces for over 40 years, and have never tired of them.
I have never bought a umbrella holder tho! Great start!

A timely post! I was looking for umbrella stands, and found a vintage trash can that worked....until I saw some of these ones!

My umbrella stand has been overworked this year in Geneva! All great picks.... I'd go with the chinoiserie design.

I love umbrella stands, too! I have a metal one at the door, which I love, but have been toying with giving it a paint-over just to perk it up. The two you are contemplating are really pretty, and I'd have to give my vote to the chinoiserie one on the left. There's something about it that makes it stand out - both are winners, and you can't go wrong with either one, though!

Nancy, Thought you would like to know that the one on the left is at Amazon for $68.00 Can.
I love them both!
