Design Inspiration | High Point Market

Mark D. Sikes new collection for Henredon | Photo via Paloma Contreras

If you are anything like me (ie. design-obsessed) then you were closely following your favorite designers and taste-makers on social media during last week's High Point Market. Market week is like fashion week for home decor, art, and furnishings. I would love to attend one year, but for now I lived vicariously through others and here are a few of my favorite things.

Of course I goggled at all the goodies at Henredon for the new Mark D. Sikes collection, Also fell for that beautiful blue & white abstract by Kaycee Hughes just below:

Loved the pop of color in velvet at Theodore Alexander:

I could not get over the luxe look of this marble vanity! Couldn't find the source but if you know please comment below!

Blue & white forever at Thibaut - looks so dreamy:

Wow - this ultra long pink tufted sofa at Century Furniture! And if you look closely, my guess is it's leather. If so, this is leather done right!!

My most favorite booth to see photos of this market was by Suzanne Kasler, the space created below was heavily-photographed and rightfully so. I could move in even though it's a corner of a showroom!! I think it's all the layered neutrals and curated art that really capitvates me:

That gallery wall on ledges is fantastic. It's the carefully selected colorways that keeps it looking so sophisticated.

Hope you enjoyed my gathered highlights! Did any of you attend? If not, would you consider attending?

My mother goes every year as part of her job--she said they had some great pieces! She showed me a pic of a light golden velvet chair that I fell in love with.

I didn't follow High Point this year (or read this recap) because I am so disappointed the industry showed there despite NC's discriminatory laws.
