House Tour | Birmingham Charmer

Southern Living magazine's former Editor-in-Chief Lindsay Bierman called on his long-time friend, renowned designer Phoebe Howard to help him see his own home with a fresh set of eyes. The before & after is stunning, each room is what I would label as masculine-chic. Here's a little tour:

The living room before:

The sunroom before:

And after, believe it or not the botanical art in this space actually are posters from, impressive!

The dining room before:

After, the grasscloth steals the show here (4354 by Phillip Jeffries), and I adore how the chairs were slipcovered with pleated skirts:

The modern Danish sideboard mixes surprisingly well in this traditional space (proves that mixing is always more interesting)!

The office before and after:

A closer look:

The kitchen before:

After; I think removing the drab tile and installing the hardwood through into the kitchen made the world of a difference:

The Master bedroom before:

After; I love Lindsay's own description of his bedroom as having a "gentleman-architect vibe," truthfully it's a look I love and hope to achieve in my own home!

Wonderful and very inspiring! To see sources go to Southern Living here, and to view more of Phoebe Howard's work hop here.

Have been reading your blog for years and hardly ever comment. Sorry! Thanks for your posts. I always enjoy them. This one is very special! Phoebe Howard is such talent and I had not seen this project of hers. I am IN LOVE with these rooms and I, especially, love knowing that, even with the Hermes blanket, there were items selected with budget in mind.
