{before & after: a heavenly guest bath}

Ending off your week with another amazing before & after transformation - this time a guest bathroom slathered in glorious Calacatta gold marble & lucite. Emily of the Material Girls blog showed us her heavenly space this week. Here's how it once looked:

That is one dreamy space. I love that Emily chose a warm marble like Calacatta gold, and a lucite vanity which doesn't visually obstruct this small space. Check out Emily's full post on her stunning bathroom project here.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Happy summer ;)

{before & after: a glammed out kitchen}

Have you seen the über talented Naomi's dream kitchen project that was recently featured in Lonny magazine? Over on Naomi's blog she shared a few before & after photos from the project she completed for her clients last year. It's a pretty incredible transformation {images via Design Manifest}:

Gahh! Just look at those light fixtures, the two-tones island cabinetry, the brass-strapped industrial hood! That's a lot of goodness packed into one kitchen.

Another side of the space:

The stunning eating area, complete with tufted sofa:

How divine! I could move right in without changing a single thing. Well done Naomi! To see  a few more angles & before shots, see her full post on Design Manifest.

{designer profile: parker kennedy living}

Atlanta-based design firm Parker Kennedy Living has mastered the art of preppy interior design. In their own words, they've described their look as “Preppy on the Edge” or "Southern Regency" – a spin on traditional design heavy on lacquer finishes, mixed textures, vintage details and young colors & patterns.

Quite fabulous! I adore all of the patterns & pops of color. This will be a design firm to watch!! See more from their portfolio here.

{the modern telephone at downton abbey}

To my fellow Downton Abbey enthusiasts, the above photos represent the arrival and installation of telephone service in 1914. Classic, iconic versions of the telephone that blended perfectly with the accurately dated details of the elaborate sets and costumes.

Now, take a little peek at the adorably cheeky photos below; Downton's actors caught candidly on their 21st century iPhones in between filming. It seems so unfitting, so out of place, and possibly gives us a glimpse at what our modern technologies would have looked like had they existed in that time.

How strangely captivating and enchanting! Hope you have a lovely weekend my friends :)
