{portfolio: christina murphy}

I love designer Christina Murphy's style, {think glamour, drama, and wonderful use of color!} and have blogged about her work here. Some of the rooms that inspire me the MOST have been designed by her. One of my fav things is to re-visit the site of my fav designers to find new projects and updates to their porfolio!! Here is some of the latest work from the talented Ms. Murphy:

Truly, she is the Queen of the entry way!

Of course we all saw this kitchen bench featured in Lonny, but in the magazine images, we didn't get to see those amazing herringbone floors!!

Delish! And there is more where that came from, check out Christina's portfolio here. Hope you are having a great week!

{turquoise & pink ... }

This is one of my all time favorite color combinations, turquoise & pink gets me every time! There's just something about these complimentary colors that makes my heart sing!

Please excuse the terrible photography/lighting {taken late at night with my iPhone}, I just love picking up pink roses to complement the turquoise in my own living room! Fresh flowers always make me happy, and the additional pop of color is divine :)

Love!! Do you have a favorite color combination?

{friday day dreaming ... }

It's always fun to dream up what your imaginary dream home would look like! I came across this listing of the home below {located in Illinois and listed at $4 million}, and I think it comes pretty close to my dream :) It's got a classic well-built feel with a Hamptons vibe. Oh the things you could do to this place!! Can you picture it??

It's even got the oval window I want!!

Gorgeous ... I'll be dreaming of this place all day! If you've got $4 mill to spare buy it and invite me over :) Happy weekend friends!!

{a toast rack's new lease on life}

I have been quite smitten with the glamorous look of an antique silver toast rack repurposed as a mail sorter. It's clever and classy!! Our mail was always piling up on the front entry table and I knew this would be the perfect solution. So, a trip to a local antique shop solved my problem and I scored this pretty little gem for only $16!! From toast to post, I love it!

I like that it's kind of  a tray at the same time, so there is a perfect spot to set my keys when I walk in the door ...

I had been scouring ebay and etsy for a while, there are some great finds on there but you just have to be patient. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and prices too! From $15 to upwards of $2000!

Left: $14.99, Middle: $695.00, Right: $1808.51

Here's some pretty inspiration I found around the blogosphere:

I love the idea of repurposing a vintage item and using it in a new way! The cute little old lady at the till said to me, 'You know, people are using these to hold mail these days!' Looks like the idea is getting around!!

If your loving this look as much as I do, hop over to Etsy and Ebay or your local antique shop and start searching!  I think I may just need another one for my desk ... :)

{fabulously fashionable office}

I adore a gorgeous office, and the Los Angeles office of Who What Wear posted on The Coveteur yesterday made my heart skip a beat. This is SO my style, immediately into the inspiration files it goes!!!

The fantabulous artwork of Miss Dallas Shaw:

Love the inspiration board!

Floating shelves perfectly styled, I need this:

GLAMOUR at it's finest! I'm keeping these in mind when designing my home office for sure :) Check out The Coveteur to see even more!

{style icon: olivia palermo}

I know this is an interiors blog, but every now and then I like to mix it up with a bit of fashion inspiration! Do you have a style icon? I have long been enamoured with the classy and sophisticated style of Olivia Palermo. The girl knows how to mix pieces like no body else, and I adore the tailored and effortless vibe her wardrobe exudes. If I could have any celebrity wardrobe it would be hers!!

Oh, and did I mention her apartment is pretty darn fab too? You knew I had to throw an interior into this post!!!

Shots from her apartment:

She's got that fabulous Hermes tray!

Love love how she mixes it up with her hair styles as well!

I think Miss OP will go down as a style icon for sure!! Now I'm dying to know, who is your style icon??

**Update: I just got word from a lovely reader that Olivia's apartment pictured here was actually the "show" place they used on The City in TriBeca, while Olivia really lives in Brooklyn with her boyfriend! Now I wish we could see photos of her real apartment!!
