Dissecting The Details | Andrew Howard

I recently happened-upon the portfolio of Florida-based designer Andrew Howard, and fell hard for his kitchen designs! Today, you can find my regular column 'Dissecting the Details' over at La Dolce Vita, where I am looking at 5 key elements that Andrew uses when designing these bright, airy, and functional spaces.

House Tour | Enviable Designs

I'm pretty excited to dive in to this latest house tour, not only because the home is totally to my personal taste, but because it's in my home city of Vancouver! Designed by the talented Victoria McKenney of Enviable Designs, and photographed by the fabulous interior photographer Tracey Ayton, this home is quite the stunner:

What a soothing and inviting home. Everything is so crisp and bright. I adore all of the use of natural stone throughout the house, and the moulding and millwork as well. To see more of Victoria's fabulous designs click through to her website here, and instagram here.

Designer Profile | The Design Co.

The luxe & feminine closet above led me to a fabulous new-to-me design firm based out of Toronto: The Design Co. I fell in love with their eye for mixing the elements of fashion, art, & architecture in each of their spaces. Have a little looky:

Pretty incredible spaces! Another aspect that attracts me is the heavy use of black, white, and grey with little touches of soft colors. You can see even more loveliness from The Design Co. on their website, and follow their adventures in all-things-design on instagram here.

House Tour | The Zhush

I've been a long-time reader of Sue's fabulous blog The Zhush; she has impeccable style, which you will quickly see as you scroll through the photos of her stunning Connecticut house as featured on Domaine Home. And is it just me or is that navy high gloss butler's pantry above to die for?

So so many things to love here. Her use of wallcoverings is lust-worthy, the herringbone in the entry is stunning, and I love the antelope print carpet runner on her staircase. What were your favorite details of this preppy & fresh home? You can see more from Sue on her blog, and even more of her home tour over on Domaine.
