Interior Inspiration | Shiplap Walls

You've likely seen a number of stunning spaces utilizing this classic treatment lately - shiplap walls. I've been enjoying watching the varying styles it's been incorporated in, and it always leaves a space looking fresh and clean with just that added finishing detail.

Here's the funny thing; if you search 'shiplap' on Wikipedia it describes shiplap as being used for its strength, namely in "barns, sheds, outbuildings, and inexpensive or seasonal homes.' Far from the truth today! In fact you can see a range of uber chic modern farmhouses, nautical-inspired spaces, and dare I even say sophisticated glamorous designs! Have a look:

What do you think? Are you loving the look as much as I am?

Fall is here, Thanksgiving is on the way (literally this coming weekend for us Canadians!), and we've all got entertaining on the brain. I'm loving the copper kitchen trend, and this warm metal is the perfect accent for your holiday décor & tablescape! Here are a few inspiration shots & favorite accessory picks:

Before & After | Designer Showhouse Kitchen

Designer Lisa Mende has created an amazing space in the current 2015 Junior League of High Point Showhouse kitchen. One look at the before's and you will be thoroughly impressed with what she has concocted:

Ooh I just love satisfying before's and after's, don't you? Here's all the gorgeous details of the finished kitchen:

Ooh la la! I love that Lisa took the classic subway tile the full height of the walls, and that she didn't ignore the ceilings! Also refreshing to see a different take on cabinetry that ventures away from the staple whites. Movie Set Of 'The Intern'

Have you headed to your local theatre to take in Nancy Meyers' latest delight? 'The Intern' was a great film - I enjoyed the plot and as always there was tons of impressive attention to detail with the set and the wardrobes. Truth is, we all collectively held our breath when we laid eyes on that Hamptons beach house in 'Something's Gotta Give,' and I think no matter what it would be hard to recapture that on-screen magic again. However, the charming NYC Brownstone still did live up to expectations - a smashing kitchen, lovely living room, even the entry way was a dream. Here's a peek at the set of the movie, I promise no spoilers besides the spaces!

What I couldn't find photos of were the entry and stunning wood staircase, the bathroom, and the gorgeous masculine closet in De Niro's character's home (you'll have to go see the movie for all of that!). Not to mention all the pretty clothes for Anne Hathaway's character! If you watched, what were your reviews on the film?
