One Room Challenge Week 5 | Nursery | Spring 2016

It's the final stretch! One more week until we are posting the final reveals, and things are finally coming together. As you can see in the photo above we (almost) have a crib! This was the one piece of furniture I was really worried about, however it arrived on time. But maybe it's mother's intuition because when we read the reviews the only negatives were that buyers claimed it was hard to put together, and lo and beyond when we opened the box there was NO instruction manual - what??? A bit of panics and a phone call or two and we got a pdf version by email! Phew!!

Here's a reminder of all the goodies going into this space from my original moodboard:

Shades of Light Chandelier | DecoratorsBest Clouds wallpaper | Indigo Roadster | BM Revere Pewter | Old Lake George Pillows | IKEA Book shelves | IKEA Daybed | Garnished Medallion Rug - Rugs USA | Cast Brass Bin Pull - Lee ValleyHudson's Bay Millenium Blanket

We've got the hardware swapped on the IKEA Hemnes daybed, and the HBC throw blanket arrived - can't wait to style this up with all the textiles!

Here is my checklist from last week with some quick updates:
  1. Purchase and frame art (I decided to go with a grouping of frames above the daybed, and ordered this, this, this and this from anewall - awaiting their arrival)
  2. Purchase and swap hardware on daybed
  3. Purchase Hudson's Bay blanket
  4. Get the pillow forms for all the daybed pillows
  5. Order the crib!! And crib bedding.
  6. Select and order a rug (awaiting this one from Rugs USA to arrive)
  7. Build the little vintage roadster
  8. Some DIY art, perhaps the doggie silhouette but of our own puppy!
  9. Consider adding a mobile above crib??? (Think I may have to forgo this one!)
So mostly it's the artwork framed, and rug that we are waiting on, and then it's time to get styling!!! Hop over to see my update on my ORC breakfast nook and of course go see all the pretty on Calling It Home blog here! Thanks for visiting :)

Nancy the wallpaper is gorgeous! I can’t wait for the reveal! I love the direction the space is going in. As a fellow ORC participant it’s been wonderful to gather some fantastic inspiration. I’d love for you to share your progress at Thoughts of Home on Thursday. Our readers would love to see it. The gathering is at http://www.decortoadore.net

I'm pretty sure I've already commented on how much I love that wallpaper, but it's worth repeating! Also, that roadster is pretty amazing. Love how you're keeping these neutrals so interesting!

I am really excited to see how this room comes out. That wallpaper is still my favorite of the whole challenge so far.

I love how both your rooms are coming together...don't know how you're managing two awesome spaces (especially with a baby!!) - I'm kinda overwhelmed with just the one and I have no excuses, lol. Can't wait to see your rooms next week!
