{my entryway dressed for the holidays}

I've finished dolling up my foyer for Christmas and I've been enjoying coming home to all the glittery festive-ness every day! This space got a simple and pretty palette:

I repeated the feathery look of the bird ornaments {from Liberty} by adding a few black feathers to my pint-size white tree. The tree was a steal of a deal {on ebay} and I glammed it up by placing it in a glossy black vase {from Homesense}:

I love the idea of adding sparkle in unexpected places; I hung strands of crystals from the sconce by the front door, a subtle but pretty touch!

Have you begun dressing your home for the holidays? I'm guessing now that Thanksgiving is done, there will be some serious decking of the halls :) Well it's pretty chilly here in Vancouver, so needless to say it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! If you are visiting from the blog parties over at Southern Hospitality and Hooked on Houses, welcome and thank you for popping by!! Be sure to pop by the party at Southern Hospitality and at Hooked on Houses and check out other beautiful vignette's from so many talented bloggers :)

I love that your holiday entry is subtle, not in-you-face Christmas styling. Really beautiful, I can see why you love coming home to it.

Love it Nancy! I'm sure it makes you smile every time you walk in.

Love! I especially adore the little gold pear and your bust- really want one for my own home. I'm holding off of the yuletide decor blitz until December- just can't bring myself to do it yet.

It's beautiful and decadent! I love it! We put up our tree and that's probably all I'll do. Too busy this time of year!

Once again - so Nancy, all sparkly and beautiful! Lovely! I love the bust - where did you get it? I want a bust for the top of the piano! As for decorating my house - yikes I better get a move on, except I will wait until next week.
I like the title of the book on your table too :)

Looks great Nancy! It makes me want to start decorating my own entry. I have been preoccupied with a new puppy so needless to say I haven't found the time yet!

Your hallway looks wonderful decked out for Christmas! I love the sparkle and the black feathers on the white tree. So chic! I haven't started the Christmas decorating at all yet, but December 1st I will! (hubs thinks I'm weird, his family decorates the tree like Dec. 23rd or something, which I think is really weird haha)

Beautiful! I love your mirror - and also love the wreath that's reflected in it :-) Oh, have you thought of hanging your wreath ON your mirror? It's such a cool look, and would up the glam factor, I think :-)

what a gorgeous vignette! I haven't started decorating yet but will likely start this weekend. I usually start with the mantel and work my way around. Our temperature is dropping here today so we're likely getting what you've had - definitely will be feeling a lot like Christmas! :)
