One Room Challege Week 2 | Breakfast Nook | Spring 2016

Here we go, my second space for the ORC - see my first space, the nursery update here! This week the gorgeous table was delivered from - and saying gorgeous doesn't even do it justice!
Can you see all of those white-filled knots and grains? LOVE. It has added so much texture to the space. I ended up choosing this table after contemplating many different designs (see my previous post, I always thought I would buy a white tulip table!) but I fell for the Hampton's vibe of this table, I get the overall white look with a lot more warmth because of the wood. Also at 42 inches across it fits while letting traffic flow be kept open.
So you can see that the table still leaves an overall "white" appearance compared to the natural rattan of the chairs. In choosing a wood table I totally thought I was going to paint the chairs white for contrast, until the table arrived and I started to love the combo. And then I saw this photo below on Christina Murphy's instagram feed and I was SOLD:
White faux leather seats it is!! I have to order the fabric and the foam this coming week! So here is my to-do list to keep me on track:
  1. Order and frame all artwork (2-4 pieces total)
  2. Order faux white leather and foam
  3. Re-upholster chairs
  4. Buy place mats and a centerpiece
  5. Order the accent pillows for the chairs
  6. DIY frost screens for the French doors for privacy

Not too bad! Let's see how much I'll have done next week :) Hop over and check out all the fun going on for the ORC over on Calling It Home blog!
